Wandboard

The Wandboard is an ultra-low power, compact open-source development platform with high performance multimedia capabilities designed around the Freescale i.MX6 Series of Applications Processors based on the ARM Cortex-A9 architecture. With both single and multi-core options available, the Wandboard uses a System-on-Module approach to maximize flexibility and further encourage the later stages of design. The boards use an EDM standard interface connector which gives developers the building blocks they need to modify and create new products in the future.

EDM is an Embedded Design Module standard and is the first complete open hardware and software standard for x86 and ARM Computer-on-Modules. Created under the Creative Commons ShareAlike license it is targeted to embedded applications and controllers and is actively developed by many industrial embedded companies.
