Adafruit Audio FX Sound Board

Adafruit Audio FX Sound Board is used to add audio/sound effects to a project. Add audio to projects without an Arduino+Shield or designs that need sound to play whenever a button is pressed. The Audio FX Sound Board is a small, portable, simple, low-cost audio effects trigger that is easy to use with no programming required.

The Adafruit Audio FX Sound Board is offered in two variants:

2217: Includes a built-in Class D stereo amplifier providing 2 x 2.2W of output audio power, capable of driving 4Ω or 8Ω speakers
2133: Features a non-amplified 1/8" jack to connect to headphones, a stereo, or powered speakers

Both versions of the Audio FX Sound Board include header strips. They do not include batteries, speakers, a breadboard, or tactile switches. The Sound Board can be powered from any 3V to 5V DC power source, such as a 3x "AAA" battery pack or a LiPoly battery such as part # 2124.

Compressed or Uncompressed audio - go with compressed Ogg Vorbis files for longer audio files, or uncompressed WAV files
Stereo line out - breakout the line out levels to connect headphones if desired

High-Quality Sound - 44.1KHz 16-bit stereo, the decoding hardware can handle any bit/sample rate and mono or stereo
11 Triggers - connect up to 11 buttons or switches; each one can trigger audio files to play
Built-in 2 x 2.2W Class D Amplifier (2217 only)
Five different trigger effects - by changing the name of the files, create five different types of triggers to cover a large range of projects without any programming
