Analog Devices Inc. AD5116 64-Position Digital Potentiometers

Analog Devices AD5116 Digital Potentiometers offer a nonvolatile, digital potentiometer solution for 64-position adjustment applications. The AD5116 Digital Potentiometers have a guaranteed low-resistor tolerance error rate of ±8% and a ±6mA current density in the A, B, and W pins. With its low-resistor tolerance, low-nominal temperature coefficient of 35ppm/°C, and high 4MHz bandwidth, the Analog Devices AD5116 64-Position Digital Potentiometers simplify open-loop applications and tolerance-matching applications.

The low A-W and B-W resistance features minimize the wiper resistance to typically 45Ω in the extremes of the resistor array. In addition, the AD5116 Digital Potentiometers can automatically save the last wiper position in EEPROM. This feature makes these potentiometers ideal for applications that require power-up in the last wiper position, such as audio equipment.

Additional features include a simple push-button interface and a built-in adaptive debouncer. The push-button interface provides manual control of the device with two external push button switches. The built-in adaptive debouncer ignores invalid bounces, commonly found in mechanical switches, due to contact bounce. This adaptive debouncer accommodates a variety of push buttons.
