Analog Devices Inc. EV-ADF4401A Evaluation Board
Analog Devices Inc. EV-ADF4401A Evaluation Board provides a demonstration platform for the ADF4401A System in Package (SiP) Translation Loop Module. The highly-integrated ADF4401A includes a Voltage-Controlled Oscillator (VCO) and calibration Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) circuit. Designed for highly jitter-sensitive applications, this device reduces board space and complexity compared to traditional discrete translation loop solutions designed on a printed circuit board (PCB).The EV-ADF4401A Evaluation Board includes a pre-installed Analog Devices Inc. ADF4401A System in Package (SiP) Translation Loop Module, along with a Phase Frequency Detector (PFD), an active loop filter, power supply connectors, and SMA connectors.
The EV-ADF4401A Evaluation Board requires the SDP-S (System Demonstration Platform-Serial) Controller Board (EVAL-SDP-CS1Z), which is not supplied with the kit. The SDP-S Controller Board is based on a USB to Serial Engine providing connectivity to a PC via a USB 2.0 high-speed port. The Analog Devices Inc. EVAL-AD5413SDZ interfaces to the USB port of a PC via the SDP-S Board. The Analysis, Control, Evaluation (ACE) Software allows simplified programming of the ADF4401A.
