Microchip Technology SPI Automotive Temperature Serial EEPROMs
Microchip Technology SPI Automotive Temperature Serial EEPROMs are optimized for automotive applications requiring low-power and low-voltage operation. These serial EEPROMS feature a 5MHz clock rate, extended temperature range, 32-byte page mode, high reliability, block write protection, and a self-time write cycle. The SPI Automotive Temperature Serial EEPROMs are enabled through the Chip Select pin (CS) and can be accessed via a 3-wire interface. The 3-wire interface consists of a Serial Clock (SCK), Serial Data Input (SI), and Serial Data Output (SO). These EEPROMs are available in space-saving 8-lead JEDEC SOIC, 8-pad UDFN, and 8-lead TSSOP packages. The SPI Automotive Temperature Serial EEPROMs do not require separate erase cycles before writing, and all programming cycles are completely self-timed. These EEPROMs provide separate program enable and program disable for additional data protection. The SPI EEPROMs provide hardware data protection via the WP pin to prevent inadvertent write attempts to the status register. The HOLD pin suspends any serial communication without resetting the serial sequence.
