Analog Devices Inc. EVAL-CN0555-EBZ Reference Design

Analog Devices Inc. EVAL-CN0555-EBZ Reference Design implements a CN0555 two-stage, USB-powered, RF low noise amplifier optimized for receiver signal chains in the 433.92MHz industrial, scientific, and medical (ISM) bands. The device offers a gain of 40dB through its RF band of operation utilizing two ADL5523 amplifiers cascaded together, boosting signals for various communication protocols, including ISM, MC-GSM, W-CDMA, TD-SCDMA, and LTE.

The ADI EVAL-CN0555-EBZ reference design features a high-speed overpower cutoff that protects sensitive downstream equipment connected to the receiver system and automatically turns back on when the RF power level drops within the acceptable range.

The EVAL-CN0555-EBZ has a small form factor of 25.4mm x 50.673mm x 1.5748mm (PCB only) and is intended to be used with the ADALM-PLUTO Active Learning Module.

The reference design employs standard 50Ω SMA coaxial connectors for the RF signal path providing easy integration with RF systems. Meanwhile, a female connector is used for the RF input, and a male connector is used for the RF output.
